1Ti 6:15
Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only
Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Re 17:14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome
them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are
with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Re 19:16
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF
KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
I’m sorry, I don’t get it? Everybody says that these verses are
stating that Jesus King over Kings and Lord over Lords, he is God
supreme… where is the back-up proof in at least the Hebrew, much
less in the Greek. But here is the kicker in the Greek, the Greek
makes no distinction between a singular “Lord” or a plural “Lords”,
which of course puts undo emphasis on the name of Jesus. No wonder
the theology about Jesus is all screwed up. It is more likely the
way it reads in the KJV “Lord ‘of’ Lords”… another words Jesus was
just one of many or if you will “E Pluribus Unim” = One Amongst
Many.
Jesus is still going to be a savior and your savior, the only name
under heaven whereby you might be saved, but he is not nor never has
and never will be supreme God, which of course isn’t stated that way
anywhere in the scriptures. |
