Mt 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Mt 6:11
Give us this day our daily bread.
ICor 11:24-27
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this
is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped,
saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as
oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat
this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he
come.
Lets suppose that all the emphasis on ritual was valid, does it make
you able to hear Him any better? Are these rituals the relationship
with God? Because if they are, then I can retire right now and all
the prophets and apostles and Jesus have been living a lie. God now
is the new idol? I think not…
Communion for some is a ritual, and for others an excuse to stay in
the flesh, but neither group is going to take their precious time to
get down to the nitty gritty and get to know their God. Its much too
easy to play church. |
