Ro 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Col 1:27
To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory:
Now, we can tackle this glory question 2 different ways. Is the
glory the Skekinah Glory, a manifestation of God’s light? Or is the
‘glory’ about honor/integrity? Now I hear many say that it don’t
matter if they don’t keep their word or lie and cheat others, cause
they have Jesus and that is all that matters in order for them to go
to heaven. So what is the Christian testimony going to be? “I used
to rape, pillage and rob before I knew Jesus. But Praise be to God I
do all the same things I did before, except now I do it all in the
name of Jesus.” Then we wonder why those who are not part of the
Christian family think we are crazy and stupid. Then we have
“Chistian aren’t perfect, just forgiven.” So Christians have carte
blanche for mediocrity. Perfect or mature, is the better word. So if
you are a Christian and you are telling yourself and others that it
is alright to be immature and be mediocre and not take
responsibility for your life and that your Jesus is your crutch then
you are status quo. For the sons of this world or mammon are wiser
in their own conceits, than the sons of light. The so called people
in the world whether they are aware of it or not are working for the
good or all when they develop things and techniques that help the
whole, the community, the world. We are the Kingdom. Where are the
Christians like Booker T. Washington or Luther Burbank or
Letourneau? I once was talking to the grandson of a very prominent
minister and he said that its all been said. I said there is always
room for fine tuning? What is fine tuning? One person may have built
the Model-T but somebody came along and made it better and somebody
after that and so on and on and on it goes, world without end.
Your glory is on lease until you show that you can fulfill the
requirements of the glory, “keep your word.” |
