Ro 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service.
Another word for ‘service’ is ‘worship’. Now, if I had to choose
between those many Christians who go to church and put on a real
good performance about how much they love Him and praise Him, and so
on, and the other Christians who aren’t a lot in church, but I have
said “yes, here I am”; I’ll take the latter. When God called Samuel
as a boy, all Samuel had to do is say “yes, here I am”. It seems
nowadays that the church’s have to have a Golden Parachute nailed to
the front door in order to get anybody to come. Samuel spent many
decades in quiet before he became a worthwhile ministry. The problem
is that if you don’t bare the yoke in your youth, you won’t be able
to bare it when you get older. Another words God isn’t going to pour
new wine into old wine skins, cause they’ll burst. If you are
looking for sweat Jesus in the beginning of your walk, then you are
really worshiping Satan and his host. Satan will tell you that God
doesn’t want you to have any pain and trouble, and all you have to
do is rely upon your comfort zone and lets not forget that He is a
perfect gentleman… That little thing with Joan of Arc, Kathryn
Kuhlman, Peace Pilgrim is too intense, besides God just wants you to
have fun. So just close those eyes and kiss the 1st guy or gal that
says the word Jesus and the 2 of you can live happily ever after.
What a beautiful story, I’m all choked up.
You don’t have to overdo it, but you better seek God now and for the
rest of your life and know his voice and obey or your life on this
earth will be hell. |
