The opinion of many from what they see
in Genesis is that Eve is talking about a gender class or female.
This is not the case however. Eve represents a ministry that is in
the developing stage. Adam represents a mature ministry. Only in the
case of Adam and Eve do we see the _expression "one flesh". If this
is the pattern for all future marriages, then why doesn't the 'one
flesh' ever show itself again in gender associations?
Adam shall leave his father and mother and join his wife and they
shall be one flesh. The ref here to father and mother has to do with
the beg's and endings of the works/walk with God. When Adam as
representing anybody that accomplishes this, then becomes an alpha
and omega to another in the sense of a spiritual offspring and this
offspring is represented here as Eve who is again symbolic of a new
son of son of God who is just learning how to walk with God.
So when we address the issue of whether or not should a gender
female/women teach, the answer is emphatically yes, provided she is
a mature ministry. The same conditions of ministry apply to gender
males as well.
There are statements made by Paul that allude to celibacy, and he is
not referring to gender celibacy, but a spiritual celibacy.
Let him who desires the office of a bishop (pastor: an Apostle who
oversees many church groups in a city) let him be the husband of one
wife. The wife isn't a gender female, and their children are those
that are new born again followers of Jesus. Quite obviously if one
can oversee lets say one store, then he can oversee many. He that is
faithful with little will be faithful with much. |
